⁸The mirth of the timbrels is stilled, the noise of those who rejoice ends, the joy of the lyre is stopped.

Isaiah 24:8

New International Version

⁸The joyful timbrels^(A) are stilled,
the noise^(B) of the revelers^(C) has stopped,
the joyful harp^(D) is silent.^(E)

¹³And I will cause the noise of your songs to cease, and the sound of your lyres shall be no more heard.

¹³I will put an end^(A) to your noisy songs,^(B) and the music of your harps^(C) will be heard no more.^(D)
