Isaiah 24:5-6

5 The earth is also (A)defiled [a]by its inhabitants, for they violated laws, altered statutes, and (B)broke the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore, a (C)curse devours the earth, and those who live on it suffer for their guilt. Therefore, the (D)inhabitants of the earth decrease in number, and few people are left.

5 The earth also is polluted [a]by its inhabitants, because they have transgressed laws, violated statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant.(A) 6 Therefore, a curse devours the earth, and those who live on it suffer the punishment of their guilt. Therefore, the inhabitants of the earth are burned [under the curse of God’s wrath], and few people are left.(B)
