Isaiah 24:5-6

5 (A)The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants,
Because they have (B)transgressed the laws,
Changed the ordinance,
Broken the (C)everlasting covenant.
6 Therefore (D)the curse has devoured the earth,
And those who dwell in it are [a]desolate.
Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are (E)burned,
And few men are left.

To lay the land desolate;
And He will destroy (B)its sinners from it.
10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations
Will not give their light;
The sun will be (C)darkened in its going forth,
And the moon will not cause its light to shine.
11 “I will (D)punish the world for its evil,
And the wicked for their iniquity;
(E)I will halt the arrogance of the proud,
And will lay low the haughtiness of the [a]terrible.
12 I will make a mortal more rare than fine gold,
A man more than the golden wedge of Ophir.
