Isaiah 21:15-17
Contemporary English Version
15 They are worn out and weary
from being chased by enemies
with swords and arrows.
16 The Lord said to me:
A year from now the glory of the people of Kedar[a] will all come to an end, just as a worker's contract ends after a year. 17 Only a few of their warriors will be left with bows and arrows. This is a promise that I, the Lord God of Israel, have made.

New International Version
15 They flee(A) from the sword,(B)
from the drawn sword,
from the bent bow
and from the heat of battle.
16 This is what the Lord says to me: “Within one year, as a servant bound by contract(C) would count it, all the splendor(D) of Kedar(E) will come to an end. 17 The survivors of the archers, the warriors of Kedar, will be few.(F)” The Lord, the God of Israel, has spoken.(G)
