11 I will bring disaster on the world,
and their own iniquity,(A) on the wicked.
I will put an end to the pride of the arrogant(B)
and humiliate the insolence of tyrants.
12 I will make man scarcer than gold,
and mankind more rare than the gold of Ophir.(C)
13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble,
and the earth will shake from its foundations(D)
at the wrath of the Lord of Hosts,
on the day of His burning anger.

11 I will punish(A) the world for its evil,
the wicked(B) for their sins.
I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty(C)
and will humble(D) the pride of the ruthless.(E)
12 I will make people(F) scarcer than pure gold,
more rare than the gold of Ophir.(G)
13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble;(H)
and the earth will shake(I) from its place
at the wrath(J) of the Lord Almighty,
