⁶ I send it against a ^(A)godless nation
And command it against the ^(B)people of My fury
To capture spoil and ^(C)to seize plunder,
And to ^[a]trample them down like ^(D)mud in the streets.

¹⁸ Your ^(A)covenant with death will be ^[a](B)canceled,
And your pact with Sheol will not stand;
When the ^(C)overflowing scourge passes through,
Then you will become its ^(D)trampling place.

¹⁵ The ^(A)Lord has rejected all my mighty men
In my midst;
He has called an appointed time against me
To break my ^(B)young men;
The Lord has ^(C)trodden as in a wine press
The virgin daughter of Judah.
