²³ In that day,^(A) in every place where there were a thousand vines worth a thousand silver shekels,^[a](B) there will be only briers and thorns.^(C)

²⁴ Hunters will go there with bow and arrow, for the land will be covered with briers^(A) and thorns.

⁸ But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed.^(A) In the end it will be burned.
