9 The king[a] heard that King Tirhakah of Ethiopia[b] was marching out to fight him.[c] He again sent[d] messengers to Hezekiah, ordering them:

9 Now Sennacherib(A) received a report(B) that Tirhakah, the king of Cush,[a](C) was marching out to fight against him. When he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah with this word:
