11 Darum wird Gott Ausländer mit einer fremden Sprache zu diesem Volk schicken und nur noch in unverständlichen Lauten zu ihm reden. 12 Er hatte ihnen zwar gesagt: »Dieses Land soll für euch ein Ort der Ruhe werden. Gönnt den Erschöpften eine Pause! Hier könnt ihr in Frieden wohnen!« Doch sie wollten nicht auf ihn hören.

11 For with (A)stammering lips and another tongue
He will speak to this people,
12 To whom He said, “This is the (B)rest with which
You may cause the weary to rest,”
And, “This is the refreshing”;
Yet they would not hear.
