Then the Lord said, “Just as my servant(A) Isaiah has gone stripped and barefoot for three years,(B) as a sign(C) and portent(D) against Egypt(E) and Cush,[a](F) so the king(G) of Assyria will lead away stripped(H) and barefoot the Egyptian captives(I) and Cushite(J) exiles, young and old, with buttocks bared(K)—to Egypt’s shame.(L) Those who trusted(M) in Cush(N) and boasted in Egypt(O) will be dismayed and put to shame.(P)
