Isaiah 14:21-23

21 Prepare slaughter for his children
(A)Because of the iniquity of their fathers,
Lest they rise up and possess the land,
And fill the face of the world with cities.”
Babylon Destroyed
22 “For I will rise up against them,” says the Lord of hosts,
“And cut off from Babylon (B)the name and (C)remnant,
(D)And offspring and posterity,” says the Lord.
23 “I will also make it a possession for the (E)porcupine,
And marshes of muddy water;
I will sweep it with the broom of destruction,” says the Lord of hosts.

They must not arise and take possession of the earth,
And fill the surface of the world with cities.”
22 “I will rise up against them,” declares the Lord of armies, “and eliminate from Babylon (B)name and survivors, (C)offspring and descendants,” declares the Lord. 23 “I will also make it the property of the (D)hedgehog and swamps of water, and I will sweep it away with the broom of (E)destruction,” declares the Lord of armies.

22 For I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the Lord.
23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the Lord of hosts.
