²¹     Manasseh will feed on Ephraim, and Ephraim on Manasseh;^(A)
    together they will turn against Judah.^(B)

Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,
    his hand is still upraised.^(C)

²⁵ Therefore the Lord’s anger^(A) burns against his people;
    his hand is raised and he strikes them down.
The mountains shake,^(B)
    and the dead bodies^(C) are like refuse^(D) in the streets.^(E)

Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,^(F)
    his hand is still upraised.^(G)

Yet for all this, his anger^(D) is not turned away,
    his hand is still upraised.^(E)

⁸ So put on sackcloth,^(A)
    lament^(B) and wail,
for the fierce anger^(C) of the Lord
    has not turned away from us.

¹³ Ephraim’s jealousy will vanish,
    and Judah’s enemies^[a] will be destroyed;
Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah,
    nor Judah hostile toward Ephraim.^(A)

⁴ Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives^(A)
    or fall among the slain.^(B)

Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,^(C)
    his hand is still upraised.
