²⁴ For ^(A)false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, ^(B)if possible, even the elect.

² Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. ^(A)Convince, ^(B)rebuke, ^(C)exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. ^3 (D)For the time will come when they will not endure ^(E)sound doctrine, ^(F)but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

¹⁹ And will you profane Me among My people ^(A)for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, killing people who should not die, and keeping people alive who should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to lies?”

⁶ And he said to him, “Look now, there is in this city ^(A)a man of God, and he is an honorable man; ^(B)all that he says surely comes to pass. So let us go there; perhaps he can show us the way that we should go.”

^20 (A)Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and ^(B)those who worshiped his image. ^(C)These two were cast alive into the lake of fire ^(D)burning with brimstone.
