⁵ Strangers^(A) will shepherd your flocks;
    foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.

¹⁰ “Foreigners^(A) will rebuild your walls,
    and their kings^(B) will serve you.
Though in anger I struck you,
    in favor^(C) I will show you compassion.^(D)
11 Your gates^(E) will always stand open,
    they will never be shut, day or night,
so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations^(F)—
    their kings^(G) led in triumphal procession.
¹² For the nation or kingdom that will not serve^(H) you will perish;
    it will be utterly ruined.^(I)

¹³ “The glory of Lebanon^(J) will come to you,
    the juniper, the fir and the cypress together,^(K)
to adorn my sanctuary;^(L)
    and I will glorify the place for my feet.^(M)
14 The children of your oppressors^(N) will come bowing before you;
    all who despise you will bow down^(O) at your feet
and will call you the City^(P) of the Lord,
    Zion^(Q) of the Holy One^(R) of Israel.

14 The Lord will have compassion^(A) on Jacob;
    once again he will choose^(B) Israel
    and will settle them in their own land.^(C)
Foreigners^(D) will join them
    and unite with the descendants of Jacob.
² Nations will take them
    and bring^(E) them to their own place.
And Israel will take possession of the nations^(F)
    and make them male and female servants in the Lord’s land.
They will make captives^(G) of their captors
    and rule over their oppressors.^(H)
