¹³ The glory of Lebanon shall come to you,
    the cypress, the plane, and the pine,
to beautify the place of my sanctuary,
    and I will glorify where my feet rest.^(A)

² it shall blossom abundantly
    and rejoice with joy and shouting.
The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
    the majesty of Carmel and Sharon.
They shall see the glory of the Lord,
    the majesty of our God.]]^[a](A)

⁷ “Let us go to his dwelling place;
    let us worship at his footstool.”^(A)

⁶ His shoots shall spread out;
    his beauty shall be like the olive tree
    and his fragrance like that of Lebanon.^(A)
7 They shall again live beneath my^[a] shadow;
    they shall flourish as a garden;^[b]
they shall blossom like the vine;
    their fragrance shall be like the wine of Lebanon.^(B)

66 Thus says the Lord:
Heaven is my throne,
    and the earth is my footstool;
so what kind of house could you build for me,
    what sort of place for me to rest?^(A)

¹³ Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress;
    instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle,
and it shall be to the Lord for a memorial,
    for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.^(A)

¹⁹ I will put in the wilderness the cedar,
    the acacia, the myrtle, and the olive;
I will set in the desert the cypress,
    the plane and the pine together,
²⁰ so that all may see and know,
    all may consider and understand,
that the hand of the Lord has done this,
    the Holy One of Israel has created it.^(A)

⁶ Honor and majesty are before him;
    strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.^(A)
