⁸ Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:

Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

¹⁰ Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but ^(A)I am slow of speech and ^[a]slow of tongue.”

¹¹ So the Lord said to him, ^(B)“Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? ¹² Now therefore, go, and I will be ^(C)with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”

¹³ But he said, “O my Lord, ^(D)please send by the hand of whomever else You may send.”

¹⁶ But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, ^(A)to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. ¹⁷ I will ^[a]deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, ^(B)to whom I ^[b]now send you,

²¹ Then He said to me, ‘Depart, ^(A)for I will send you far from here to the Gentiles.’ ”

Purpose of the Mystery

⁸ To me, ^(A)who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles ^(B)the unsearchable riches of Christ,

²⁵ So when they did not agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had said one word: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to ^[a]our fathers, ²⁶ saying,

²⁸ “Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent ^(B)to the Gentiles, and they will hear it!”

The Righteousness of God’s Judgment

^20 (A)They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

^21 (B)Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, ²² and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.

⁸ And they heard ^(A)the ^[a]sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the ^[b]cool of the day, and Adam and his wife ^(B)hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

⁹ Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”

¹⁰ So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, ^(C)and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”
