⁴ And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.

^8 (A)The temple was filled with smoke ^(B)from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.

The Destruction of Israel

9 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said:

¹⁹ Then ^(A)the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of ^[a]His covenant was seen in His temple. And ^(B)there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, ^(C)and great hail.

⁵ And the ^(A)sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even in the outer court, like ^(B)the voice of Almighty God when He speaks.

^24 (A)When they went, I heard the noise of their wings, ^(B)like the noise of many waters, like ^(C)the voice of the Almighty, a tumult like the noise of an army; and when they stood still, they let down their wings.

¹³ indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying:

that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, ¹⁴ so that the priests could not ^[a]continue ministering because of the cloud; ^(B)for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

Solomon’s Prayer of Dedication

6 Then ^(C)Solomon spoke:

¹⁰ And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the holy place, that the cloud ^(A)filled the house of the Lord, ¹¹ so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the ^(B)glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord.
