⁸ Then your light shall break forth like the dawn,
    and your healing shall spring up quickly;
your vindicator^[a] shall go before you;
    the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.^(A)

¹² For you shall not go out in haste,
    and you shall not go in flight,
for the Lord will go before you,
    and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.^(A)

⁶ He will make your vindication shine like the light
    and the justice of your cause like the noonday.^(A)

¹⁷ For I will restore health to you,
    and your wounds I will heal,
            says the Lord,
because they have called you an outcast:
    “It is Zion; no one cares for her!”^(A)

¹³ Righteousness will go before him
    and will make a path for his steps.^(A)

¹⁰ if you offer your food to the hungry
    and satisfy the needs of the afflicted,
then your light shall rise in the darkness
    and your gloom be like the noonday.^(A)
11 The Lord will guide you continually
    and satisfy your needs in parched places
    and make your bones strong,
and you shall be like a watered garden,
    like a spring of water
    whose waters never fail.^(B)
