^(B)“Prepare the way of the Lord;
^(C)Make straight ^[a]in the desert
A highway for our God.

⁸ A ^(A)highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
^(B)The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray.

They have burned incense to worthless idols.
And they have caused themselves to stumble in their ways,
From the ^(B)ancient paths,
To walk in pathways and not on a highway,
