¹⁴ In righteousness you shall be established;
    you shall be far from oppression; indeed, you shall not fear;
    and from terror; indeed, it shall not come near you.^(A)

²⁵ Then you will not be afraid of sudden panic
    or of the storm that strikes the wicked,^(A)
26 for the Lord will be your confidence
    and will keep your foot from being caught.

⁸ Then I will encamp at my house as a guard,
    so that no one shall march to and fro;
no oppressor shall again overrun them,
    for now I have seen with my own eyes.^(A)

⁴ For the yoke of their burden
    and the bar across their shoulders,
    the rod of their oppressor,
    you have broken as on the day of Midian.^(A)

¹³     the remnant of Israel;
they shall do no wrong
    and utter no lies,
nor shall a deceitful tongue
    be found in their mouths.
Then they will pasture and lie down,
    and no one shall make them afraid.^(A)

¹⁴ Sing aloud, O daughter Zion;
    shout, O Israel!
Rejoice and exult with all your heart,
    O daughter Jerusalem!^(B)
15 The Lord has taken away the judgments against you;
    he has turned away your enemies.
The king of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst;
    you shall fear disaster no more.^(C)
16 On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:
“Do not fear, O Zion;
    do not let your hands grow weak.^(D)
