³² Now the passage of the scripture that he was reading was this:

⁶³ But Jesus was silent. Then the high priest said to him, “I put you under oath before the living God, tell us if you are the Messiah,^[a] the Son of God.”^(A)

²³ When he was abused, he did not return abuse; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but he entrusted himself to the one who judges justly.^(A)

⁹ He entered his headquarters again and asked Jesus, “Where are you from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.^(A)

⁶¹ But he was silent and did not answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah,^[a] the Son of the Blessed One?”^(A)

¹² But when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he did not answer.^{(A) 13} Then Pilate said to him, “Do you not hear how many accusations they make against you?”^{(B) 14} But he gave him no answer, not even to a single charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed.^(C)

⁹ He questioned him at some length, but Jesus^[a] gave him no answer.

⁵ But Jesus made no further reply, so that Pilate was amazed.^(A)
