¹⁰ This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
    after those days, says the Lord:
I will put my laws in their minds
    and write them on their hearts,
and I will be their God,
    and they shall be my people.^(A)
11 And they shall not teach one another
    or say to each other,^[a] ‘Know the Lord,’
for they shall all know me,
    from the least of them to the greatest.^(B)

⁹ Though I scattered them among the nations,
    yet in far countries they shall remember me,
    and they shall rear their children and return.^(A)
10 I will bring them home from the land of Egypt
    and gather them from Assyria;
I will bring them to the land of Gilead and to Lebanon,
    until there is no room for them.^(B)
11 They^[a] shall pass through the sea of distress,
    and the waves of the sea shall be struck down,
    and all the depths of the Nile dried up.
The pride of Assyria shall be laid low,
    and the scepter of Egypt shall depart.^(C)
12 I will make them strong in the Lord,
    and they shall walk in his name,
            says the Lord.^(D)

¹⁹ God is not a human being, that he should lie,
    or a mortal, that he should change his mind.
Has he promised, and will he not do it?
    Has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?^(A)

¹⁰ Your name, O God, like your praise,
    reaches to the ends of the earth.
Your right hand is filled with victory.^(A)
