²⁷ Not one of them grows tired^(A) or stumbles,
    not one slumbers or sleeps;
not a belt^(B) is loosened at the waist,^(C)
    not a sandal strap is broken.^(D)

⁷ They charge like warriors;^(A)
    they scale walls like soldiers.
They all march in line,^(B)
    not swerving^(C) from their course.
⁸ They do not jostle each other;
    each marches straight ahead.
They plunge through defenses
    without breaking ranks.

¹⁸ He takes off the shackles^(A) put on by kings
    and ties a loincloth^[a] around their waist.^(B)

²¹ He pours contempt on nobles^(A)
    and disarms the mighty.^(B)

⁵ I am the Lord, and there is no other;^(A)
    apart from me there is no God.^(B)
I will strengthen you,^(C)
    though you have not acknowledged me,

45 “This is what the Lord says to his anointed,^(A)
    to Cyrus,^(B) whose right hand I take hold^(C) of
to subdue nations^(D) before him
    and to strip kings of their armor,
to open doors before him
    so that gates will not be shut:

⁵ Righteousness will be his belt^(A)
    and faithfulness^(B) the sash around his waist.^(C)
