^26 (A)When I break your supply^[a] of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in a single oven and shall dole out your bread again by weight, and ^(B)you shall eat and not be satisfied.

¹⁶ how did you fare? ^(A)When^[a] one came to a heap of twenty measures, there were but ten. When one came to the wine vat to draw fifty measures, there were but twenty.

^6 (A)You have sown much, and harvested little. ^(B)You eat, but you never have enough; you drink, but you never have your fill. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm. And he who ^(C)earns wages does so to put them into a bag with holes.

^9 (A)You looked for much, and behold, it came to little. And when you brought it home, ^(B)I blew it away. Why? declares the Lord of hosts. Because of my house ^(C)that lies in ruins, while each of you busies himself with his own house. ¹⁰ Therefore ^(D)the heavens above you have withheld the dew, and the earth has withheld its produce. ¹¹ And ^(E)I have called for a drought on the land and the hills, on ^(F)the grain, the new wine, the oil, on what the ground brings forth, on man and beast, and ^(G)on all their labors.”

^10 (A)“You shall have just balances, a just ephah, and a just bath.^{[a] 11} The ephah and the bath shall be ^(B)of the same measure, ^(C)the bath containing one tenth of a homer,^[b] and the ephah one tenth of a homer; the homer shall be the standard measure.

¹⁶ “If a man dedicates to the Lord part of the land that is his possession, then the valuation shall be in proportion to its seed. A homer^[a] of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.
