²² who has gone into heaven^(A) and is at God’s right hand^(B)—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.^(C)

¹⁸ Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.^(A)

⁵ While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.^(A) Listen to him!”^(B)

¹⁵ who killed the Lord Jesus^(A) and the prophets^(B) and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to everyone ¹⁶ in their effort to keep us from speaking to the Gentiles^(C) so that they may be saved. In this way they always heap up their sins to the limit.^(D) The wrath of God has come upon them at last.^[a]

²⁰ he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead^(A) and seated him at his right hand^(B) in the heavenly realms,^{(C) 21} far above all rule and authority, power and dominion,^(D) and every name^(E) that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.^{(F) 22} And God placed all things under his feet^(G) and appointed him to be head^(H) over everything for the church,

⁸ For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews^[a](A) on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises^(B) made to the patriarchs might be confirmed

²⁰ For the Father loves the Son^(A) and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these,^(B) so that you will be amazed. ²¹ For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life,^(C) even so the Son gives life^(D) to whom he is pleased to give it. ²² Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,^{(E) 23} that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.^(F)

²⁴ “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me^(G) has eternal life^(H) and will not be judged^(I) but has crossed over from death to life.^{(J) 25} Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come^(K) when the dead will hear^(L) the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. ²⁶ For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life^(M) in himself. ²⁷ And he has given him authority to judge^(N) because he is the Son of Man.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.^(A)
