¹⁸ O that you had paid attention to my commandments!
    Then your prosperity would have been like a river
    and your success like the waves of the sea;^(A)

²⁹ If they were wise, they would understand this;
    they would discern what their end would be.^(A)

¹⁶⁵ Great peace have those who love your law;
    nothing can make them stumble.^(A)

¹³ O that my people would listen to me,
    that Israel would walk in my ways!^(A)
14 Then I would quickly subdue their enemies
    and turn my hand against their foes.^(B)
15 Those who hate the Lord would cringe before him,
    and their doom would last forever.
¹⁶ I would feed you^[a] with the finest of the wheat,
    and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.”^(C)

⁸ They feast on the abundance of your house,
    and you give them drink from the river of your delights.^(A)

²⁴ But let justice roll down like water
    and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.^(A)

¹⁵ until a spirit from on high is poured out on us,
    and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field,
    and the fruitful field is deemed a forest.^(A)
