¹⁸ For thus says the Lord,
^(A)Who created the heavens,
Who is God,
Who formed the earth and made it,
Who has established it,
Who did not create it ^[a]in vain,
Who formed it to be ^(B)inhabited:
^(C)“I am the Lord, and there is no other.

^(A)“You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
^11 (B)They will perish, but You remain;
And ^(C)they will all grow old like a garment;
¹² Like a cloak You will fold them up,
And they will be changed.
But You are the ^(D)same,
And Your years will not fail.”

⁵ Thus says God the Lord,
^(A)Who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it,
^(B)Who gives breath to the people on it,
And spirit to those who walk on it:

^12 (A)Who has measured the ^[a]waters in the hollow of His hand,
Measured heaven with a ^[b]span
And calculated the dust of the earth in a measure?
Weighed the mountains in scales
And the hills in a balance?
