⁴ whose minds ^(A)the god of this age ^(B)has blinded, who do not believe, lest ^(C)the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, ^(D)who is the image of God, should shine on them.

² “Son of man, you dwell in the midst of ^(A)a rebellious house, which ^(B)has eyes to see but does not see, and ears to hear but does not hear; ^(C)for they are a rebellious house.

¹⁴ But ^(A)their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. ¹⁵ But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.

²⁵ For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be ^(A)wise in your own ^[a]opinion, that ^(B)blindness in part has happened to Israel ^(C)until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

⁷ What then? ^(A)Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were ^(B)blinded. ⁸ Just as it is written:

^17 [a]Indeed ^(A)you are called a Jew, and ^(B)rest^[b] on the law, ^(C)and make your boast in God, ¹⁸ and ^(D)know His will, and ^(E)approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law, ¹⁹ and ^(F)are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, ²⁰ an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, ^(G)having the form of knowledge and truth in the law. ^21 (H)You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? ²² You who say, “Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, ^(I)do you rob temples? ²³ You who ^(J)make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law?
