¹⁸ “Come now, let us settle the matter,”^(A)
    says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
    they shall be as white as snow;^(B)
though they are red as crimson,
    they shall be like wool.^(C)

²⁰ The Lord is in his holy temple;^(A)
    let all the earth be silent^(B) before him.

¹⁰ He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;^(A)
    I will be exalted^(B) among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.”

⁶     they help each other
    and say to their companions, “Be strong!^(A)”
⁷ The metalworker^(B) encourages the goldsmith,^(C)
    and the one who smooths with the hammer
    spurs on the one who strikes the anvil.
One says of the welding, “It is good.”
    The other nails down the idol so it will not topple.^(D)

¹⁰ Beat your plowshares into swords
    and your pruning hooks^(A) into spears.^(B)
Let the weakling^(C) say,
    “I am strong!”^(D)
11 Come quickly, all you nations from every side,
    and assemble^(E) there.

Bring down your warriors,^(F) Lord!
