^13 (A)And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. ^14 (B)Then the sky ^[a]receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and ^(C)every mountain and island was moved out of its place.

The Coming of the Son of Man^(A)

^29 (B)“Immediately after the tribulation of those days ^(C)the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

⁷ But ^(A)the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for ^(B)fire until the day of judgment and ^[a]perdition of ungodly men.

⁸ But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and ^(C)a thousand years as one day. ^9 (D)The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but ^(E)is longsuffering toward ^[b]us, ^(F)not willing that any should perish but ^(G)that all should come to repentance.

The Day of the Lord

¹⁰ But ^(H)the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which ^(I)the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be ^[c]burned up. ¹¹ Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be ^(J)in holy conduct and godliness, ^12 (K)looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will ^(L)be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will ^(M)melt with fervent heat?

The Great White Throne Judgment

¹¹ Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face ^(A)the earth and the heaven fled away. ^(B)And there was found no place for them.
