Cast Your Bread upon the Waters

^23 (A)And he will give ^(B)rain for the seed with which you sow the ground, and bread, the produce of the ground, which will be rich and plenteous. ^(C)In that day your livestock will graze in large pastures, ²⁴ and ^(D)the oxen and the donkeys that work the ground will eat seasoned fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and fork.

¹⁸ And ^(A)a harvest of righteousness ^(B)is sown in peace by those who make peace.

⁹ For it is written in the Law of Moses, ^(A)“You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain.” Is it for oxen that God is concerned? ¹⁰ Does he not certainly speak for our sake? It was written ^(B)for our sake, because ^(C)the plowman should plow in hope and the thresher thresh in hope of sharing in the crop. ^11 (D)If we have sown spiritual things among you, is it too much if we reap material things from you?

^6 (A)I planted, ^(B)Apollos watered, ^(C)but God gave the growth.

¹⁴ And ^(A)more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,

⁴ But many of those who had heard the word believed, and ^(A)the number of the men came to about five thousand.
