^5 (A)Like birds flying about,
So will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem.
Defending, He will also deliver it;
Passing over, He will preserve it.”

^4 (A)He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and ^[a]buckler.

^11 (A)As an eagle stirs up its nest,
Hovers over its young,
Spreading out its wings, taking them up,
Carrying them on its wings,

⁵ God is ^(A)in the midst of her, she shall not be ^[a]moved;
God shall help her, just ^[b]at the break of dawn.

⁴⁰ And ^(A)the Lord shall help them and deliver them;
He shall deliver them from the wicked,
And save them,
^(B)Because they trust in Him.

³⁵ ‘For I will ^(A)defend this city, to save it
For My own sake and for My servant ^(B)David’s sake.’ ”

^14 (A)My hand has found like a nest the riches of the people,
And as one gathers eggs that are left,
I have gathered all the earth;
And there was no one who moved his wing,
Nor opened his mouth with even a peep.”
