²⁹ This also comes from the Lord of hosts;
    he is wonderful in counsel
    and excellent in wisdom.^(A)

⁶ For a child has been born for us,
    a son given to us;
authority rests upon his shoulders,
    and he is named
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.^(A)

⁹ He does great things and unsearchable,
    marvelous things without number.^(A)

⁵ You have multiplied, O Lord my God,
    your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us;
    none can compare with you.
Were I to proclaim and tell of them,
    they would be more than can be counted.^(A)

²³ The Almighty^[a]—we cannot find him;
    he is great in power and justice,
    and abundant righteousness he will not violate.^(A)

²¹ For the Lord will rise up as on Mount Perazim;
    he will rage as in the valley of Gibeon
to do his deed—strange is his deed!—
    and to work his work—alien is his work!^(A)
22 Now therefore do not scoff,
    or your bonds will be made stronger,
for I have heard a decree of destruction
    from the Lord God of hosts upon the whole land.^(B)
