¹³ O Lord our God,
    other lords besides you have ruled over us,
    but we acknowledge your name alone.^(A)

⁸ Their land is filled with idols;
    they bow down to the work of their hands,
    to what their own fingers have made.^(A)

⁷ I will recount the gracious deeds of the Lord,
    the praiseworthy acts of the Lord,
because of all that the Lord has done for us
    and the great favor to the house of Israel
that he has shown them according to his mercy,
    according to the abundance of his steadfast love.^(A)

²² Thus says your Sovereign, the Lord,
    your God who pleads the cause of his people:
See, I have taken from your hand the cup of staggering;
you shall drink no more
    from the cup of my wrath.^(A)

¹¹ shall I not do to Jerusalem and her idols
    what I have done to Samaria and her images?”
