²² I will place on his shoulder^(A) the key^(B) to the house of David;^(C) what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.^(D)

To the Church in Philadelphia

⁷ “To the angel of the church in Philadelphia^(A) write:

¹⁸ And I tell you that you are Peter,^[a](A) and on this rock I will build my church,^(B) and the gates of Hades^[b] will not overcome it. ¹⁹ I will give you the keys^(C) of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be^[c] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be^[d] loosed in heaven.”^(D)

¹⁸ I am the Living One; I was dead,^(A) and now look, I am alive for ever and ever!^(B) And I hold the keys of death and Hades.^(C)

¹⁸ “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be^[a] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be^[b] loosed in heaven.^(A)

¹⁹ “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them^(B) by my Father in heaven.

² Now the house of David^(A) was told, “Aram has allied itself with^[a] Ephraim^(B)”; so the hearts of Ahaz and his people were shaken,^(C) as the trees of the forest are shaken by the wind.
