¹⁴ for all the towering mountains
    and all the high hills,^(A)

⁴ Every valley shall be raised up,^(A)
    every mountain and hill^(B) made low;
the rough ground shall become level,^(C)
    the rugged places a plain.

⁵ The Lord is at your right hand^[a];^(A)
    he will crush kings^(B) on the day of his wrath.^(C)
6 He will judge the nations,^(D) heaping up the dead^(E)
    and crushing the rulers^(F) of the whole earth.

¹⁶ why gaze in envy, you rugged mountain,
    at the mountain where God chooses^(A) to reign,
    where the Lord himself will dwell forever?^(B)
