⁴ For thus the Lord said to me:
“I will quietly look from my dwelling
    like clear heat in sunshine,
    like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.”^(A)

¹⁵ I will return again to my place
    until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face.
    In their distress they will beg my favor:^(A)

²¹ For the Lord comes out from his place
    to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity;
the earth will disclose the blood shed on it
    and will no longer cover its slain.^(A)

⁴ is like the light of morning,
    like the sun rising on a cloudless morning,
    gleaming from the rain on the grassy land.”^(A)

⁵ I will be like the dew to Israel;
    he shall blossom like the lily;
    he shall strike root like the forests of Lebanon.^[a](A)

¹³ I bring near my deliverance; it is not far off,
    and my salvation will not tarry;
I will put salvation in Zion,
    for Israel my glory.^(A)

⁹ His rock shall pass away in terror,
    and his officers desert the standard in panic,”
says the Lord, whose fire is in Zion
    and whose furnace is in Jerusalem.^(A)

¹⁹ Your dead shall live; their corpses^[a] shall rise.
    Those who dwell in the dust will awake and shout for joy!^[b]
For your dew is a radiant dew,
    and the earth will give birth to those long dead.^[c](A)
