⁴ But ^(A)with righteousness He shall judge the poor,
And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
He shall ^(B)strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.

⁶ And ^(A)he will turn
The hearts of the fathers to the children,
And the hearts of the children to their fathers,
Lest I come and ^(B)strike the earth with ^(C)a curse.”

⁹ By the blast of God they perish,
And by the breath of His anger they are consumed.

61 “The ^(A)Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord ^(B)has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me ^(C)to ^[a]heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim ^(D)liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

72 Give the king Your judgments, O God,
And Your righteousness to the king’s Son.
^2 (B)He will judge Your people with righteousness,
And Your poor with justice.
^3 (C)The mountains will bring peace to the people,
And the little hills, by righteousness.
^4 (D)He will bring justice to the poor of the people;
He will save the children of the needy,
And will ^[a]break in pieces the oppressor.

^9 (A)You shall ^[a]break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”
