^24 (A)Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.”

⁵² And Jesus ^(A)increased in wisdom and in stature^[a] and in ^(B)favor with God and man.

^15 (A)You judge according to the flesh; ^(B)I judge no one. ¹⁶ Yet even if I do judge, ^(C)my judgment is true, for ^(D)it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father^[a] who sent me.

⁷ But the Lord said to Samuel, ^(A)“Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, ^(B)but the Lord looks on the heart.”

¹³ And we impart this ^(A)in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, ^(B)interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.^[a]

¹⁴ The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are ^(C)folly to him, and ^(D)he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. ¹⁵ The ^(E)spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one.

¹⁴ But solid food is for ^(A)the mature, for those who have their powers ^(B)of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

⁹ And it is my prayer that ^(A)your love may abound more and more, ^(B)with knowledge and all discernment, ¹⁰ so that you may approve what is excellent, ^(C)and so be pure and blameless ^(D)for the day of Christ,
