²⁰ but if you refuse and rebel,
    you shall be eaten by the sword;
    ^(A)for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

¹² I will destine you to the sword,
    and all of you shall bow down to the slaughter,
^(A)because, when I called, you did not answer;
    when I spoke, you did not listen,
^(B)but you did what was evil in my eyes
    and chose what I did not delight in.”

¹⁴ then you shall take delight in the Lord,
    ^(A)and I will make you ride on the heights of the earth;^[a]
(B)I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father,
    ^(C)for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

^5 (A)And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed,
    and all flesh shall see it together,
    ^(B)for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

^19 (A)God is not man, that he should lie,
    or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
    Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

^4 (A)but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree,
    ^(B)and no one shall make them afraid,
    ^(C)for the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken.

²⁵ Your men shall fall by the sword
    and your mighty men in battle.

^11 (A)Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him,
    for what his hands have dealt out shall be done to him.
