²⁰ but if you refuse and rebel,
    you shall be devoured by the sword,
    for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.^(A)

¹⁴ then you shall take delight in the Lord,
    and I will make you ride upon the heights of the earth;
I will feed you with the heritage of your ancestor Jacob,
    for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.^(A)

¹² I will destine you to the sword,
    and all of you shall bow down to the slaughter;
because, when I called, you did not answer,
    when I spoke, you did not listen,
but you did what was evil in my sight
    and chose what I did not delight in.^(A)

⁵ Then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed,
    and all flesh shall see it together,
    for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

¹⁹ God is not a human being, that he should lie,
    or a mortal, that he should change his mind.
Has he promised, and will he not do it?
    Has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?^(A)

⁴ but they shall all sit under their own vines and under their own fig trees,
    and no one shall make them afraid,
    for the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken.^(A)

²⁵ Your men shall fall by the sword
    and your warriors in battle.^(A)

¹¹ Woe to the guilty! How unfortunate they are,
    for what their hands have done shall be done to them.^(A)
