Canción de la viña
5 Voy a cantar por mi amigo
la canción de amor por su viña:
Mi amigo tenía una viña
en una fértil colina.
2 La cavó y la descantó,
y plantó cepas selectas.
Levantó en medio una torre
y excavó en ella un lagar.
Esperó que diera uvas,
pero sólo crió agraces.
3 Ahora, vecinos de Jerusalén,
habitantes todos de Judá,
juzgad entre mí y mi viña.
4 ¿Qué puedo hacer por mi viña
que aún no haya hecho?
¿Por qué, si esperaba uvas,
ella sólo produjo agraces?
5 Ahora os daré a conocer
lo que voy a hacer con mi viña:
derribar su cerca y que sirva de pasto,
romper su muro y que sea pisoteada.
6 Pienso acabar con ella:
nadie la podará ni escardará,
cardos y zarzas crecerán;
voy a ordenar a las nubes
que no la rieguen con lluvia.
7 La viña del Señor del universo
es la casa de Israel;
los habitantes de Judá,
su plantel predilecto.
Esperaba de él derecho,
y ya veis: asesinatos;
esperaba de él justicia,
y sólo se escuchan alaridos.
Dirigentes injustos y alocados
8 ¡Ay de los que especulan con casas
y juntan campo con campo,
hasta no dejar ya espacio
y ocupar solos el país!
9 Por eso ha jurado el Señor del universo
que sus muchas casas quedarán desoladas
(las grandes y lujosas), vacías de vecinos.
10 Pues diez yugadas de viña
sólo darán una cántara,
y una carga de semilla
sólo dará una canasta.
11 ¡Ay de los que ya de madrugada
andan en busca de licores,
y siguen así hasta el ocaso,
hasta que el vino los enchispa!
12 Andan entre arpas y cítaras,
entre panderos y flautas,
y con vino en sus banquetes,
y no advierten la obra del Señor,
no ven lo que hacen sus manos.
13 Por eso irá mi pueblo al destierro,
por falta de perspicacia,
con sus nobles hambrientos,
sus notables abrasados por la sed.
14 Por eso abre sus fauces
el reino de los muertos
y dilata su boca sin medida,
para tragar su gloria y su nobleza,
todo su bullicio y su alegría.
15 El mortal quedó rebajado,
el ser humano quedó humillado,
humillados los ojos altaneros.
16 El Señor del universo
quedó ensalzado en el juicio,
el Dios santo demostró
su santidad sentenciando.
17 Corderos pacerán como en sus prados,
chivos extranjeros pastarán entre ruinas.
18 ¡Ay de los que van arrastrando
la culpa como con cuerdas de buey,
el pecado como con sogas de carreta!
19 Los que dicen: “deprisa,
que acelere su obra y la veamos;
que se acerque, que llegue
el plan del Santo de Israel,
y así lo conozcamos”
20 ¡Ay de los que llaman
bien al mal y mal al bien,
que hacen luz de la tiniebla
y tiniebla de la luz,
toman lo amargo por dulce
y lo dulce por amargo!
21 ¡Ay de los que se creen sabios,
y se tienen por juiciosos!
22 ¡Ay de los valientes con el vino,
de los campeones mezclando licores,
23 que absuelven al culpable por dinero
y deniegan la justicia al inocente!
24 Por eso, como lame el fuego la paja
y la llama consume la rastrojera,
así su raíz acabará podrida,
su flor volará como el tamo;
pues rechazaron la ley del Señor del universo,
despreciaron la palabra del Santo de Israel.
La mano amenazante del Señor
25 Por eso arde en cólera el Señor contra su pueblo,
y ha alargado hacia él su mano para herirlo;
tiemblan los montes y aparecen sus cadáveres,
lo mismo que basura en medio de las calles.
Y con todo no se sacia su cólera,
su mano sigue amenazante.
26 Alzará una enseña a un pueblo lejano,
le silbará desde el confín de la tierra.
¡Mirad qué ágil, qué rápido llega!
27 Ni se cansa ni tropieza,
ni dormita ni se duerme;
no se quita el cinturón de sus lomos,
ni se suelta el cordón de su calzado.
28 Tiene afiladas sus flechas,
todos sus arcos bien tensos;
son como pedernal
los cascos de sus caballos,
y sus ruedas, torbellino.
29 Su rugido es de león,
ruge como los leoncillos,
brama y atrapa la presa,
la retiene sin remedio.
30 Bramará aquel día contra él
lo mismo que brama el mar.
La tierra aparecerá
cubierta de densa niebla,
la luz se oscurecerá
metida entre nubarrones.

5 Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:
2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.
4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:
6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
7 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
8 Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!
9 In mine ears said the Lord of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.
10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah.
11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them!
12 And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the Lord, neither consider the operation of his hands.
13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
16 But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
17 Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.
18 Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:
19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Therefore is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
26 And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:
27 None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:
28 Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses' hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:
29 Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.
30 And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.

Awit tungkol sa Ubasan
5 Aawit ako para sa aking minamahal tungkol sa kanyang ubasan:
May ubasan ang aking minamahal sa burol na mataba ang lupa.
2 Inararo niya ito, inalisan ng mga bato, at tinamnan ng mga piling ubas.
Nagtayo siya ng isang bantayang tore sa ubasang ito, at nagpagawa ng pigaan ng ubas sa bato.
Pagkatapos, naghintay siyang magbunga ito ng matamis,
pero nagbunga ito ng maasim.
3 Kaya ito ang sinabi ng may-ari ng ubasan: “Kayong mga mamamayan ng Jerusalem at Juda, hatulan nʼyo ako at ang aking ubasan. 4 Ano pa ang nakalimutan kong gawin sa ubasan ko? Matamis na bunga ang inaasahan ko, pero nang pitasin ko ito ay maasim.
5 “Sasabihin ko sa inyo ang gagawin ko sa ubasan ko. Aalisin ko ang mga nakapaligid na halaman na nagsisilbing bakod ng ubasan, at wawasakin ko ang pader nito, para kainin at apak-apakan ng mga hayop ang mga tanim na ubas. 6 Pababayaan ko na lang ito at hindi na aasikasuhin. Hindi ko na rin ito puputulan ng mga sanga o bubungkalin. Hahayaan ko na lang ito na mabaon sa mga damo at mga halamang may tinik. At uutusan ko ang mga ulap na huwag itong patakan ng ulan.”
7 Ang ubasan ng Panginoong Makapangyarihan na kanyang inalagaan at magbibigay sana sa kanya ng kaligayahan ay ang Israel at Juda. Umasa siyang paiiralin nila ang katarungan, pero pumatay sila. Umasa siyang paiiralin nila ang katuwiran pero pang-aapi ang ginawa nila.
Ang Kasamaang Ginawa ng mga Tao
8 Nakakaawa kayong mga nagpaparami ng mga bahay at nagpapalawak ng inyong mga lupain hanggang sa wala ng lugar ang iba at kayo na lang ang nakatira sa lupaing ito. 9 Sinabi sa akin ng Panginoong Makapangyarihan, “Ang malalaki at naggagandahang bahay na ito ay hindi na titirhan. 10 Ang dalawang ektaryang ubasan ay aani na lang ng anim na galong katas ng ubas. At ang sampung takal na binhi ay aani lang ng isang takal.”
11 Nakakaawa kayong maaagang bumangon para magsimulang mag-inuman at naglalasing hanggang gabi. 12 May mga banda pa kayo at mga alak sa inyong mga handaan. Pero hindi ninyo pinapansin ang ginagawa ng Panginoon. 13 Kaya kayong mga mamamayan ko ay bibihagin dahil hindi nʼyo nauunawaan ang mga ginagawa ko. Kayo at ang mga pinuno ninyo ay mamamatay sa gutom at uhaw.
14 Bumubukas na nang maluwang ang libingan. Hinihintay nito na maipasok sa kanya ang mga kilala at makapangyarihang mga mamamayan ng Jerusalem, pati ang mga mamamayang nag-iingay at nagsasaya.
15 Kaya ibabagsak ang lahat ng tao, lalo na ang mga mapagmataas. 16 Pero ang Panginoong Makapangyarihan ay dadakilain sa kanyang paghatol. Sa pamamagitan ng matuwid niyang paghatol, ipinapakita niyang siya ay banal na Dios. 17 Ang nawasak na lungsod na tinitirhan ng mga mayayaman ay ginawang pastulan ng mga tupa.
18 Nakakaawa kayong mga gumagawa ng kasamaan sa pamamagitan ng pagsisinungaling. 19 Sinasabi nʼyo pa, “Bilis-bilisan sana ng banal na Dios ng Israel na gawin ang sinabi niyang kaparusahan para makita na namin. Magkatotoo na nga ang kanyang plano, para malaman namin ito.”
20 Nakakaawa kayong mga nagsasabi na ang masama ay mabuti at ang mabuti ay masama. Ang kadiliman ay sinasabi ninyong liwanag at ang liwanag ay sinasabi ninyong kadiliman. Ang mapait ay sinasabi ninyong matamis at ang matamis ay sinasabi ninyong mapait.
21 Nakakaawa kayo, kayong mga nag-aakalang kayoʼy marurunong at matatalino.
22 Nakakaawa kayo, kayong malakas uminom ng alak at bihasa sa pagtitimpla nito. 23 Pinakakawalan ninyo ang may mga kasalanan dahil sa suhol, pero hindi ninyo binibigyan ng katarungan ang mga walang kasalanan. 24 Kaya matutulad kayo sa dayami o tuyong damo na masusunog ng apoy. Matutulad din kayo sa tanim na ang mga ugat ay nabulok o sa bulaklak na tinangay ng hangin na parang alikabok, dahil itinakwil ninyo ang Kautusan ng Panginoong Makapangyarihan, ang Banal na Dios ng Israel. 25 Kaya dahil sa matinding galit ng Panginoon sa inyo na kanyang mga mamamayan, parurusahan niya kayo. Mayayanig ang mga bundok at kakalat sa mga lansangan ang inyong mga bangkay na parang mga basura. Pero hindi pa mapapawi ang galit ng Panginoon. Nakahanda pa rin siyang magparusa sa inyo.
26 Sesenyasan niya ang mga bansa sa malayo; sisipulan niya ang mga nakatira sa pinakamalayong bahagi ng mundo, at agad silang darating para salakayin kayo. 27 Ni isa man sa kanila ay hindi mapapagod o madadapa, at wala ring aantukin o matutulog. Walang sinturon na matatanggal sa kanila, o tali ng sapatos na malalagot. 28 Matutulis ang kanilang mga palaso, at handang-handa na ang kanilang mga pana. Ang kuko ng kanilang mga kabayo ay parang matigas na bato, at ang pag-ikot ng mga gulong ng kanilang karwahe ay parang buhawi. 29 Sa pagsalakay nila ay sisigaw sila na parang mga leon na umuungal. Ang mabibiktima nila ay dadalhin nila sa malayong lugar at walang makakaligtas sa mga ito.
30 Sa araw na sumalakay sila sa Israel, sisigaw sila na parang ugong ng dagat. At kapag tiningnan ng mga tao ang lupain ng Israel, ang makikita nila ay kadiliman at kahirapan. Ang liwanag ay matatakpan ng makapal na ulap.
