¶Así dice el Señor: «En tiempo propicio te he respondido,
En día de salvación te he ayudado(A).
Te guardaré y te daré por pacto del pueblo(B),
Para restaurar[a] la tierra(C), para repartir las heredades asoladas,
Para decir a los presos: “Salgan”;
A los que están en tinieblas(D): “Muéstrense”.
Por los caminos pastarán,
Y en todas las alturas desoladas tendrán sus pastos(E).
10 -»No pasarán hambre ni sed(F),
No los herirá el calor abrasador ni el sol(G),
Porque el que tiene compasión de ellos los guiará(H),
Y los conducirá a manantiales de aguas(I).

Restoration of Israel

This is what the Lord says:

“In the time of my favor(A) I will answer you,
    and in the day of salvation I will help you;(B)
I will keep(C) you and will make you
    to be a covenant for the people,(D)
to restore the land(E)
    and to reassign its desolate inheritances,(F)
to say to the captives,(G) ‘Come out,’
    and to those in darkness,(H) ‘Be free!’

“They will feed beside the roads
    and find pasture on every barren hill.(I)
10 They will neither hunger nor thirst,(J)
    nor will the desert heat or the sun beat down on them.(K)
He who has compassion(L) on them will guide(M) them
    and lead them beside springs(N) of water.

Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.

10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
