4 »En aquel día quedarán tan pocos hombres,
que siete mujeres se pelearán por uno de ellos.
Las mujeres les dirán a los hombres:
“Si te casas conmigo
yo me compraré mi propio pan
y también mi propia ropa;
por favor, cásate conmigo
para que no me muera de vergüenza”».
Dios perdonará a Israel
2-3 Dios también dijo:
«No castigaré a todos.
A los que deje con vida,
les permitiré vivir en Jerusalén
y serán llamados:
“Pueblo elegido de Dios”.
»Cuando llegue ese día,
haré que prosperen y vivan bien.
Mi pueblo se pondrá orgulloso
de los frutos que su tierra le dará.
4 »Cuando yo dicte sentencia
y castigue a mi pueblo,
perdonaré a los habitantes de Jerusalén
de los crímenes que han cometido.
5-6 Entonces protegeré a mi pueblo
con una nube durante el día
y una llama de fuego durante la noche.

4 1 In that day(A) seven women
will take hold of one man(B)
and say, “We will eat our own food(C)
and provide our own clothes;
only let us be called by your name.
Take away our disgrace!”(D)
The Branch of the Lord
2 In that day(E) the Branch of the Lord(F) will be beautiful(G) and glorious, and the fruit(H) of the land will be the pride and glory(I) of the survivors(J) in Israel. 3 Those who are left in Zion,(K) who remain(L) in Jerusalem, will be called holy,(M) all who are recorded(N) among the living in Jerusalem. 4 The Lord will wash away the filth(O) of the women of Zion;(P) he will cleanse(Q) the bloodstains(R) from Jerusalem by a spirit[a] of judgment(S) and a spirit[b] of fire.(T) 5 Then the Lord will create(U) over all of Mount Zion(V) and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night;(W) over everything the glory[c](X) will be a canopy.(Y) 6 It will be a shelter(Z) and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge(AA) and hiding place from the storm(AB) and rain.

4 (A) På den dagen ska sju kvinnor
ta tag i samma man[a] och säga:
"Vi kan föda och klä oss själva,
låt oss bara få bära ditt namn!
Ta bort vår vanära!"
Det renade Sions härlighet
2 (B) På den dagen ska Herrens telning[b] bli till härlighet och ära och landets frukt till stolthet och prydnad för den räddade skaran av Israel. 3 (C) Och den som förblir i Sion och lämnas kvar i Jerusalem ska kallas helig, var och en som är skriven bland de levande i Jerusalem, 4 (D) när Herren har tvättat bort orenheten från Sions döttrar och sköljt bort blodskulderna från Jerusalem genom domens och reningens[c] ande.
5 (E) Och Herren ska över hela Sions bergs område och över dess högtidsskaror skapa en rök och en molnsky om dagen och skenet av en flammande eld om natten[d]. Ja, över allt det härliga ska det finnas ett skyddande tak, 6 (F) en hydda som ger skugga om dagen mot hettan och tillflykt och skydd mot storm och regn.
