A grandeza e glória do Reino do Messias

The Future Greatness of Zion

35 The waste-land and the dry land will be glad. The desert will be full of joy and become like a rose. Many flowers will grow in it, and it will be filled with joy and singing. The greatness of Lebanon will be given to it, and the beauty of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the shining-greatness of the Lord, the wonderful power of our God. Give strength to weak hands and to weak knees. Say to those whose heart is afraid, “Have strength of heart, and do not be afraid. See, your God will come ready to punish. He will come to make sinners pay for their sins, but He will save you.” Then the eyes of the blind will be opened. And the ears of those who cannot hear will be opened. Then those who cannot walk will jump like a deer. And the tongue of those who cannot speak will call out for joy. For waters will break out in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. The burning sand will become a pool. The thirsty ground will become wells of water. The resting place of the wild dog will be filled with river-grasses. And a road will be there. It will be called the Holy Way. Those who are unclean will not travel on it. But it will be for those who walk in that way. Fools will not walk on it. No lion will be there. No angry and hungry animal will go up on it. They will not be found there. But those whose sin has been paid for will walk there. 10 Those whom the Lord has paid for and set free will return. They will come to Zion with singing. Joy that lasts forever will crown their heads. They will be glad and full of joy. Sorrow and sad voices will be gone.

35 1 The great joy of them that believe in Christ. 3 Their office which preach the Gospel. 8 The fruits that follow thereof.

The [a]desert and the wilderness shall rejoice, and the waste ground shall be glad and flourish as the rose.

It shall flourish abundantly, and shall greatly rejoice also and joy: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it: the beauty of [b]Carmel, and of Sharon, they shall [c]see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.

[d]Strengthen the weak hands, and comfort the feeble knees.

Say unto them that are fearful, Be you strong, fear not: behold, your God cometh with [e]vengeance: even God with a recompense, he will come and save you.

Then shall the eyes of the [f]blind be lightened, and the ears of the deaf be opened.

Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the dumb man’s tongue shall sing: for in the [g]wilderness shall waters break out, and rivers in the desert.

And the dry ground shall be as a pool, and the thirsty as springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where they lay, shall be a place for reeds and rushes.

And there shall be a path and a way, and the way shall be called [h]holy: the polluted shall not pass by it: for [i]he shall be with them, and walk in the way, and the fools shall not err.

There shall be [j]no lion, nor noisome beasts shall ascend by it, neither shall they be found there, that the redeemed may walk.

10 Therefore the [k]redeemed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with praise: and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
