27 Aquel día el Señor castigará[a]
Con Su espada inflexible(A), grande y poderosa,
A Leviatán[b], serpiente huidiza,
A Leviatán(B), serpiente tortuosa,
Y matará al dragón que vive en el mar(C).
2 ¶Aquel día se dirá:
«Una viña de vino[c](D); de ella canten.
3 -»Yo, el Señor, soy su guardador;
A cada momento la riego(E).
Para que nadie la dañe[d],
La guardo(F) noche y día.
4 -»No tengo furor.
Si alguien[e] me da zarzas y espinos(G) en batalla,
Los pisotearé, los quemaré completamente[f](H),
5 A no ser que[g] él confíe en[h] Mi protección(I),
Que haga la paz conmigo,
Que conmigo haga la paz(J)».
6 En los días[i] venideros Jacob echará raíces(K),
Israel florecerá(L) y brotará,
Y llenará el mundo entero[j] de fruto(M).
7 ¶¿Acaso fue herido(N) con la herida de Aquel que lo hirió?
Acaso fue muerto como con la matanza de sus muertos?
8 Luchaste con él desterrándolo, expulsándolo(O).
Con Su soplo violento Él lo expulsó en el día del viento del este(P).
9 Así pues, con esto la iniquidad de Jacob será perdonada[k](Q),
Y este será todo el fruto del perdón[l] de su pecado(R):
Cuando haga todas las piedras del altar como piedras de cal pulverizadas;
Cuando no estén en pie las Aseras[m] y los altares de incienso[n](S).
10 Porque solitaria está la ciudad fortificada(T),
Un lugar[o] desamparado y abandonado como un desierto.
Allí pastará el becerro,
Y allí se echará y se alimentará de[p] sus ramas(U).
11 Cuando su ramaje está seco, es quebrado(V),
Vienen las mujeres y le prenden fuego.
Porque no es pueblo de discernimiento(W),
Por tanto su Hacedor no le tendrá compasión,
Y su Creador(X) no tendrá piedad de él(Y).
12 En aquel día el Señor trillará(Z) desde la corriente del Éufrates[q] hasta el torrente de Egipto(AA), y ustedes serán recogidos(AB) uno a uno, oh israelitas. 13 También en aquel día se tocará una gran trompeta(AC), y los que perecían en la tierra de Asiria y los desterrados en la tierra de Egipto(AD), vendrán y adorarán al Señor en el monte santo en Jerusalén(AE).

27 Atë ditë Zoti do të ndëshkojë me shpatën e tij të ashpër, të madhe dhe të fortë Leviathanin, gjarpërin e shkathët, gjarpërin Leviathani dredha-dredha, dhe do të vrasë përbindëshin që është në det.
2 Atë ditë do të thuhet: "Vreshti që jep verë të kuqërremtë, këndoni për të.
3 Unë, Zoti, e ruaj, e vadis çdo çast, e ruaj natën e ditën me qëllim që askush të mos e dëmtojë.
4 Nuk ka zemërim tek unë. Kush do t’i vinte në luftë kundër meje ferrat dhe gjembat? Unë do të shkoja kundër tyre dhe do t’i digjja të gjitha tok.
5 Do të ishte më mirë që dikush të mbështetej te forca ime për të bërë paqe me mua, po, për të bërë paqe me mua".
6 Në ditët që do të vijnë Jakobi do të lëshojë rrënjë, Izraeli do të lulëzojë dhe do të lëshojë lastarë dhe do të mbushë faqen e dheut me fryte.
7 A ka goditur Perëndia Izraelin ashtu si ka goditur ata që e qëllonin atë? A e ka vrarë atë ashtu si ka vrarë ata që e vrisnin atë?
8 Ti je grindur me të me masë, duke e përzënë dhe duke e çuar larg. Ai e çoi në një vend të largët me frymën e tij të furishme, një ditë me erë lindore.
9 Në këtë mënyrë do të shpagohet padrejtësia e Jakobit, dhe ky do të jetë gjithë fryti i heqjes së mëkatit të tij, kur do t’i kthejë tërë gurët e altarit si gurë gëlqereje të thërmuar; kështu Asherimët dhe altarët e temjanit nuk do të ngrihen më.
10 Qyteti i fortifikuar do të jetë i shkretuar, një vend i pabanuar dhe i braktisur si një shkretëtirë; aty do të kullosë viçi, i cili do të shtrihet dhe do të hajë degët.
11 Kur degët e tij do të thahen, do të thyhen dhe do të vijnë gra për t’i djegur. Me qenë se është një popull pa zgjuaësi, prandaj Ai që e ka bërë nuk do t’i vijë keq për të, Ai që e ka formuar nuk do t’i japë hir.
12 Po atë ditë do të ndodhë që Zoti do të shijë grurin nga rrjedha e lumit deri te përroi i Egjiptit, dhe ju do të mblidheni një nga një, o bij të Izraelit.
13 Atë ditë do të ndodhë që të bjerë buria e madhe, dhe ata që kanë humbur në vendin e Asirisë dhe ata që janë shpërndarë në vendin e Egjiptit do të vijnë dhe do të adhurojnë Zotin mbi malin e shenjtë, në Jeruzalem.

Deliverance of Israel
27 In that day,(A)
the Lord will punish with his sword(B)—
his fierce, great and powerful sword—
Leviathan(C) the gliding serpent,(D)
Leviathan the coiling serpent;
he will slay the monster(E) of the sea.
2 In that day(F)—
“Sing(G) about a fruitful vineyard:(H)
3 I, the Lord, watch over it;
I water(I) it continually.
I guard(J) it day and night
so that no one may harm(K) it.
4 I am not angry.
If only there were briers and thorns confronting me!
I would march against them in battle;
I would set them all on fire.(L)
5 Or else let them come to me for refuge;(M)
let them make peace(N) with me,
yes, let them make peace with me.”
6 In days to come Jacob will take root,(O)
Israel will bud and blossom(P)
and fill all the world with fruit.(Q)
7 Has the Lord struck her
as he struck(R) down those who struck her?
Has she been killed
as those were killed who killed her?
8 By warfare[a] and exile(S) you contend with her—
with his fierce blast he drives her out,
as on a day the east wind(T) blows.
9 By this, then, will Jacob’s guilt be atoned(U) for,
and this will be the full fruit of the removal of his sin:(V)
When he makes all the altar stones(W)
to be like limestone crushed to pieces,
no Asherah poles[b](X) or incense altars(Y)
will be left standing.
10 The fortified city stands desolate,(Z)
an abandoned settlement, forsaken(AA) like the wilderness;
there the calves graze,(AB)
there they lie down;(AC)
they strip its branches bare.
11 When its twigs are dry, they are broken off(AD)
and women come and make fires(AE) with them.
For this is a people without understanding;(AF)
so their Maker has no compassion on them,
and their Creator(AG) shows them no favor.(AH)
12 In that day the Lord will thresh(AI) from the flowing Euphrates to the Wadi of Egypt,(AJ) and you, Israel, will be gathered(AK) up one by one. 13 And in that day(AL) a great trumpet(AM) will sound. Those who were perishing in Assyria and those who were exiled(AN) in Egypt(AO) will come and worship(AP) the Lord on the holy mountain(AQ) in Jerusalem.
