a la casa del Dios de Jacob;
él nos indicará sus caminos,
nosotros iremos por sus sendas”.
Y es que saldrá de Sión la ley;
de Jerusalén la palabra del Señor.
Juzgará entre nación y nación,
arbitrará a pueblos numerosos.

Dios llega a juzgar

Has abandonado a tu pueblo,
sus tesoros eran infinitos;
se llenó su país de caballos,
sus carros eran infinitos.
Y se llenó su país de ídolos,
adoraban la obra de sus manos,
la que modelaron sus dedos.
El mortal quedó rebajado,
el ser humano quedó humillado,
¡pero no lo perdones!
10 Métete en la roca,
ocúltate en el polvo,
que llega el Señor terrible,
henchido de majestad.
11 Será humillada la mirada altiva,
abatida la arrogancia humana;
sólo el Señor será ensalzado
cuando llegue aquel día:
12 el día del Señor del universo,
contra todo orgullo y arrogancia,
contra toda altanería y altivez;
13 contra todos los cedros del Líbano,
cedros encumbrados y empinados,
contra todas las encinas de Basán;
14 contra todos los montes encumbrados,
contra todas las colinas elevadas;
15 contra todas las altas torres,
contra toda muralla defensiva;
16 contra todas las naves de Tarsis,
contra todos los barcos comerciales.
17 Será abatida la arrogancia humana,
humillada la altivez del ser humano;
sólo el Señor será ensalzado
cuando llegue aquel día;
de los topos y de los murciélagos;
que sólo es un soplo en la nariz;
¿qué valor tiene en realidad?

The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.

Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:

Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.

10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty.

11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

12 For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,

15 And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,

16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.

17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

18 And the idols he shall utterly abolish.

19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of ?

The Future House of God(A)

The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

Now (B)it shall come to pass (C)in the latter days
(D)That the mountain of the Lord’s house
Shall be established on the top of the mountains,
And shall be exalted above the hills;
And all nations shall flow to it.
Many people shall come and say,
(E)“Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
He will teach us His ways,
And we shall walk in His paths.”
(F)For out of Zion shall go forth the law,
And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
He shall judge between the nations,
And rebuke many people;
They shall beat their swords into plowshares,
And their spears into pruning [a]hooks;
Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
Neither shall they learn war anymore.

The Day of the Lord

O house of Jacob, come and let us (G)walk
In the light of the Lord.

For You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob,
Because they are filled (H)with eastern ways;
They are (I)soothsayers like the Philistines,
(J)And they [b]are pleased with the children of foreigners.
(K)Their land is also full of silver and gold,
And there is no end to their treasures;
Their land is also full of horses,
And there is no end to their chariots.
(L)Their land is also full of idols;
They worship the work of their own hands,
That which their own fingers have made.
People bow down,
And each man humbles himself;
Therefore do not forgive them.

10 (M)Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust,
From the terror of the Lord
And the glory of His majesty.
11 The [c]lofty looks of man shall be (N)humbled,
The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down,
And the Lord alone shall be exalted (O)in that day.

12 For the day of the Lord of hosts
Shall come upon everything proud and lofty,
Upon everything lifted up—
And it shall be brought low—
13 Upon all (P)the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up,
And upon all the oaks of Bashan;
14 (Q)Upon all the high mountains,
And upon all the hills that are lifted up;
15 Upon every high tower,
And upon every fortified wall;
16 (R)Upon all the ships of Tarshish,
And upon all the beautiful sloops.
17 The [d]loftiness of man shall be bowed down,
And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low;
The Lord alone will be exalted in that day,
18 But the idols [e]He shall utterly abolish.

19 They shall go into the (S)holes of the rocks,
And into the caves of the [f]earth,
(T)From the terror of the Lord
And the glory of His majesty,
When He arises (U)to shake the earth mightily.

20 In that day a man will cast away his idols of silver
And his idols of gold,
Which they made, each for himself to worship,
To the moles and bats,
21 To go into the clefts of the rocks,
And into the crags of the rugged rocks,
From the terror of the Lord
And the glory of His majesty,
When He arises to shake the earth mightily.

22 (V)Sever[g] yourselves from such a man,
Whose (W)breath is in his nostrils;
For [h]of what account is he?
