¹⁸ Therefore, as through ^[a]one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through ^(A)one^[b] Man’s righteous act the free gift came ^(B)to all men, resulting in justification of life. ¹⁹ For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by ^(C)one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

⁹ And ^(A)they sang a new song, saying:

^24 (A)who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, ^(B)that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—^(C)by whose ^[a]stripes you were healed.

Jesus Predicts His Death on the Cross

^27 (A)“Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? ^(B)But for this purpose I came to this hour. ²⁸ Father, glorify Your name.”

^(C)Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.”

²⁹ Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.”

³⁰ Jesus answered and said, ^(D)“This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake. ³¹ Now is the judgment of this world; now ^(E)the ruler of this world will be cast out. ³² And I, ^(F)if I am ^[a]lifted up from the earth, will draw ^(G)all peoples to Myself.”
