    and the worm will eat them like wool,
^(B)but my righteousness will be forever,
    and my salvation to all generations.”

^6 (A)Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
    and look at the earth beneath;
^(B)for the heavens vanish like smoke,
    the earth will wear out like a garment,
    and they who dwell in it will die in like manner;^[a]
(C)but my salvation will be forever,
    and my righteousness will never be dismayed.

^9 (A)Behold, the Lord God helps me;
    who will declare me guilty?
Behold, all of them will wear out like a garment;
    the moth will eat them up.

⁵⁰ And ^(A)his mercy is for those who fear him
    from generation to generation.

¹² But I am ^(A)like a moth to Ephraim,
    and ^(B)like dry rot to the house of Judah.
