¹⁰ But when grace is shown to the wicked,^(A)
    they do not learn righteousness;
even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil^(B)
    and do not regard^(C) the majesty of the Lord.

⁷ My people are determined to turn^(A) from me.^(B)
    Even though they call me God Most High,
    I will by no means exalt them.

¹⁰ who build^(A) Zion with bloodshed,^(B)
    and Jerusalem with wickedness.^(C)
11 Her leaders judge for a bribe,^(D)
    her priests teach for a price,^(E)
    and her prophets tell fortunes for money.^(F)
Yet they look^(G) for the Lord’s support and say,
    “Is not the Lord among us?
    No disaster will come upon us.”^(H)
12 Therefore because of you,
    Zion will be plowed like a field,
Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble,^(I)
    the temple^(J) hill a mound overgrown with thickets.^(K)

¹⁰ Get up, go away!
    For this is not your resting place,^(A)
because it is defiled,^(B)
    it is ruined, beyond all remedy.

⁷ I brought you into a fertile land
    to eat its fruit and rich produce.^(A)
But you came and defiled my land
    and made my inheritance detestable.^(B)

In the place of judgment—wickedness was there,
    in the place of justice—wickedness was there.
